Mint Chocolate Chip Revamped

My second Theme is now ready for download. It is still under development, but is ready for testing and comments. The design is the original artwork of Andrew Strojny and published on oswd.org.Mint Chocolate Chip Revamped

Download v0.6

To serve the marvelous work of Andrew right I recommend that you install the Image Replace Plugin by Glenn Slaven. Install it and make your writeable cache directory as recommended. Copy the font Ghostwriter to your plugin font-directory.

Then add the following replacement code:

Tag: h1
Class: logo
Size: 35
Font: Ghostwriter
Color#: 000000
Background#: F1F7EE
Padding: 2px 10px 4px 5px

And off you go!

I have even included the Verdana.ttf to my fonts and used that on the p tag in class logo with size 12, same colors and padding 0 10px 0px 5px.

Good luck

  1. Just testing the comments …

  2. Daiko,

Just so you know I moved all the comments to the correct post (MCC) over at my site, so you can find them there. Concerning the layout breaking in IE:

It is happening because someone posted a long code string, I believe it is comment #17. If you look at it in Firefox it runs out of the box. IE simply doesn’t let it do that, so it makes the box that much bigger and when the box gets bigger it no longer fits in the sidebar so it gets pushed down.

One solution would be to encourage people to post with code tags when posting code and try and style the code selector through the CSS file.

Another solution would be to go in a break up the code line that is too long with a space somewhere.

  3. Also, the link you have up on this post to the theme download is mis-spelled so the download doesn’t work.

  4. Thank you Andrew I’ll look into it, and the link is fixed.

youd have a ton more downloads if you increased the width of the center (blog) column. check out yahoo.com for example. it would be much easier on the eyes. there is too much white space on the side and the eyes have to focus too much on the middle. its a strain.

  6. Thank’s Kent I’ll look into that. This theme has suffered from my focus on the widget projects I’m working on, and sometime in the not too far future I will pick it up.
