Daiko’s Video Widget for YouTube and Google Video
The latest version (1.1) now supports both YouTube and Google Video.
In addition I have changed the way you can add/edit your own videolist. Now you do everything within the widget-control.
A default list of videos is still supplied, but is not used if you start adding videos in the widget-control.
Installation is the same as before. Just copy the supplied file (daikosvideowidget.php) to the /plugins/widgets directory and activate.
The syntax for adding videos to your widget is now:
[GoogleVideoID/YouTubeID]@[Title]
Without brackets!
Then add a linebrake for each line.
Example:
-6428233108896679183@Gay Referee
YUUD1z_tiJA@funny guy fool people with his girlfriend and a cam
8453442377878175440@Blue Man Group on Global Warming
-2796400367274619285@Global Warming PSA - Tick
JwMpaKiRyD0@Germany Argentina brawl
5301167223369517485@A Brief History of America
If you want to see how it looks in a wider sidebar, take a look at Advarsel.no.

Oh yeah, this plugin added more life to a website mainly for the especially interested. And it works well, no pain installing or using it. Only takes a little presicion to get the video id right. If you have problems playing the videos, you probably did not get the video id from Google and YouTube right.
Well done my friend Daiko!
The youtube video dont works on my sidebar, the thing is still “loading…”

Ok, this works very well xD it doesnt work on the post?
Hey there…. I’m curious to know if this widget can be used as a standard plugin rather than a widget. If so, could you tell me how? Thanks so much!
Hi Kelley,
The answer is no. It does not contain any plugin functions that will work in any posts.
Hey, like the looks of this widget. However, it just says “loading” forever. What am I doing wrong?
Hi Brian, I see that you solved it and by the way your site looks great! What was the problem? Maybe the instructions are a bit vague!?
I have noticed that sometimes it doesn’t show up when you first go to the site. There is just a blank spot where the video would go. You can refresh the screen usually and get it to show up. Or you if click around a bit, it will come on. Any idea on why this would be happening?
