Daiko’s YouTube Widget adds RSS support

After a hectic couple of days since launch of Daiko’s YouTube Widget I’ve already reached version 1.1.
I’ve now added support for YouTube RSS-feeds namely tag and user specific feeds. This was a request from one of the early adopters, Myke over at Myke Amend and since Wordpress has a built in MagPie RSS parser, it was relatively easy to implement.
With too many stable releases over the last couple of days (maybe I don’t understand how to best use SVN yet) I promise to calm down in my development eager.
Use it and abuse it and keep those comments coming so I can improve the widget to everyones benefit.
Will this work with Google rss feeds? My church puts the sermon on Google video and I’d like to have the most recent appear in my blog using an rss feed and widget. BTW I’ve been using your video widget for some time now and love it. Thanks.

This will not work with Google Video RSS but thank you for the comment. I’m now working on a Google Video widget that will work similarly to the YouTube widget. It will also include a one-click “Subscribe” button/link for iTunes to subscribe to the Google Video feed as a podcast and also a download link for the individual videos. Stay tuned!
